Answer Your Cat's Questions Day

January 15, 2021

There’s a pretty cute kitty holiday coming up. January 22nd is Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day! Fluffy is known for being inquisitive, if not flat-out nosy. If your cat could voice her questions, aside from just meowing them, what do you think she’d want to know about the most? A local Louisville, KY vet offers a few ‘petucated’ guesses in this article.

What’s Wrong With The Dog?

Cats and dogs are both wonderful pets. While Fluffy and Fido don’t always get along, they often do learn to at least tolerate each other. Of course, your kitty may want to know why her canine roommate doesn’t use a litterbox, won’t clean himself, and actually does what he’s told.

Why Do I Have To Go To The Vet?

Cats are always much healthier—and therefore happier—with proper care. However, telling her that probably won’t do a lot of good. Your furry buddy may very well want to know why you occasionally put her in a carrier and make her go on a dreaded car ride. (Sorry, Fluffy: it’s for your own good!)

Where Did My Toys Go?

Do you find a small mountain of catnip mice when you move your sofa? If so, that may very well answer one of Fluffy’s most pressing questions!

Where Does My Sunbeam Go?

Kitties don’t actually run on solar power, but we’re not sure they have actually realized that yet. Many of our feline patients absolutely love sprawling out in sunbeams! Fluffy may wonder why she can’t spend all of her time sunbathing.

Why Can’t I Sleep On That?

Cats are very opportunistic nappers, and they’ll curl up, sprawl out, or drape themselves on pretty much anything. You may at some point have to pluck your drowsy pet off something you don’t want her sleeping on, like your computer or that basket of clothes that just came out of the dryer.

What Are You Doing?

Fluffy likes to keep a close eye on her people. You may notice that your feline overlord always wants to be in the same room with you. She may want to supervise you as you are cooking, cleaning, changing sheets, or working out. She may even try to follow you into the bathroom!
